Local Lippies: A Review of Colourette Coloursticks in Sahara and Chelsea

I’m always on the lookout for a good nude lippie, and lately I’ve been loving colors with more beige and orange tones instead of the usual pink shades that I tend to go for. I had been hearing a lot about Colourette, a local brand that makes use of all-natural ingredients, and I decided to try out a couple of their lipsticks. The shades Sahara and Chelsea really called out to me, so in this post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Coloursticks.

The Colourette Coloursticks are formulated with all-natural ingredients such as Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, Grapeseed Oil, and Avocado Oil. The Coloursticks are full of Vitamin C and E, Collagen, and Hyaluronic Acid, making them super hydrating, all while remaining opaque and vibrant.

The lipsticks are really easy to apply. Despite all the moisturizing ingredients, the color still comes out very solid. It isn’t a glossy lipstick, and there’s just enough traction to make it feel like a lip balm. It doesn’t feel uncomfortable to wear, and it doesn’t leave the lips feeling gross and full of product.

I got the shades Sahara (left) and Chelsea (Right). On the Colourette website, Sahara is described as a Pink Peach Nude, and Chelsea is described as a bare nude. I’m completely in love with Sahara. Although it’s a Pink Peach shade, I think it leans more towards the orange side, and this makes it look really flattering on me. It’s one of my go-to lipsticks, especially since it’s quite neutral and will go with anything I wear. Chelsea is a bit trickier to pull off. It’s almost the same shade as my actual skin tone, so sometimes it looks like it washes me out. I find that the best way to wear this is to define the lips with a pinky-nude lip liner first, fill the lips with the Colourstick, and then blend the liner and the color together.

Overall, the Colourette Coloursticks are pretty good lippies, and they have a decent price point as well (Php499 a pop). Colourette seems to be doing well, expanding to liquid lipsticks and lip and cheek tints. I’ll definitely be trying some of them out soon, and like the Coloursticks, I’m sure they won’t disappoint.

Have you tried anything from Colourette? Let me know in the comments!

  2. I’ve been looking into this brand for months now but never got around to purchasing any product. This year, I’ll make it a point to get at least one. Chelsea might be a little too light for my NC40 skintone but Sahara looks like a pretty MLBB shade.

    1. Yeah, Chelsea’s super light and it’s hard to make it work sometimes, but I love Sahara! You might want to look into the shade Bethany as well ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s pretty neutral but leans more towards mauve rather than orange ๐Ÿ™‚
