Sparkle On (feat. Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Smoldering Satin)

Glitter is very much back in, and being a lover of all things sparkly, this fact has me absolutely elated. I thought I would share a glittery glam makeup look. I’ve worn something similar to this when I celebrated my birthday last April. I wanted something super glittery, so I got myself the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Smoldering Satin. I based the whole look around this eyeshadow, so I’m going to be talking about it more extensively than the rest of the makeup.

To prime my face, I used the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer. I love this primer because it’s super hydrating and it really makes my makeup last. It’s also infused with coconut water, and honestly, I’m obsessed with coconuts in general. I used the Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide for my foundation. It’s super lightweight and watery, but has incredible coverage. To conceal my dark circles and zits, I used the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. This concealer is pretty much a staple in my routine. I set my base with the Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. It has no color, it doesn’t make my face look cakey, and it doesn’t flashback in photos.

I contoured using the Fawn shade from my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. It’s a cool-toned taupey-brown shade that’s perfect for sculpting the face. I added a flush of color to my cheeks with the Benefit Sugarbomb Blush. The sparkle aspect of this look isn’t limited to my eyes. I used three highlighters to add some shine to my face, namely the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle, and the shades White Sand and Golden Dawn from the Anastasia Ultimate Glow Kit. I applied these highlighters to the tops of my cheeks, my nose, and my Cupid’s bow.

I filled in my brows using my beloved Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Granite. I’ve been growing out my eyebrows, so they’ve been really easy to fill in and define. I used two MAC eyeshadows to create a base on my eyes: I applied All That Glitters on my lids, and Satin Taupe on my creases.

I took my Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow in Smoldering Satin and applied it right on my lids and on my inner corners to open up my eyes. It comes with a doe foot applicator, and it has a really wet formula. It’s super pigmented, and it’s extremely glittery. Since it has a water-based formula, there’s no fallout upon application, although it does fallout after awhile when it has dried. It wasn’t too bad though, and most of the glitter stayed on my eyes. The shade I got, Smoldering Satin, is described as a deep tan with silver glitter. You definitely notice the silver glitter once it’s on. Honestly, the pictures I took don’t do the eyeshadow justice. I got a lot of compliments when I wore it on a night out, and it’s a great way to bring out the eyes and instantly glam up a makeup look.

I gave myself a cat eye using the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black, and I lined my lower lashes using the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Liner in Black. To open up my eyes, I used my Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

To complete the look, I applied the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Uptight. It’s pretty much my perfect nude shade, and it has a comfortable matte finish.

That’s it for my Sparkle On look! Hope you liked this post and that you try out something for yourself!
