Eye cream has been an essential part of my skincare routine for many years. I used to look for products that would fade my dark circles, but once I realized that they were due to genetics and not from lack of sleep, I began to look for simple creams that would at least moisturize my under eye area. I saw the Tea Butter on Rraw PH and I couldn’t resist getting my hands on it. I’ve used it for months, and in this post, I’ll be talking about my experience with it.

Rraw PH’s Tea Butter is an oil/butter-based cream for your under eyes. It was steeped in fresh green tea to help relieve dark circles, and it’s formulated with Shea Butter to soften and lift eye bags. It comes in a tin with 50g of product in it, and it is to be used nightly (although I also use this during the day). It’s also completely organic and cruelty-free, with its ingredients including Cold Pressed Coconut Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Green Tea, and Raw Honey.

My first impression of this product is that it would be really uncomfortable to wear because it’s so thick. It has almost the same consistency as Petroleum Jelly, and I was really afraid that it would clog the skin around my eyes. It turns out I was wrong, and I actually enjoy using this product! You only need to barely tap your finger onto the product, and you’ll get enough butter for both under eye areas. It melts into the skin and leaves the under eyes feeling soft and supple. I also noticed the slightest brightening of my dark circles, and I find that really impressive since I’ve never had an eye cream do that before. It sits well under makeup, and it doesn’t move any product on top of it around.
It’s a really affordable eye cream at Php249 for 50 grams of product (for reference, the Kiehl’s Creamy Under Eye Treatment with Avocado is only 14g). That’s a lot of eye cream considering you only need the tiniest bit for each eye. Since it’s pretty thick and moisturizing, I sometimes use it on my elbows and knees to make them soft and moisturized.
Overall, Rraw PH’s Tea Butter is really impressive, and I’ll most likely repurchase it when I run out (but I really don’t see myself running out of this product soon). If you know me, you know that I love supporting local brands, and Rraw PH really hits the nail on the head with a lot of their products.
Have you tried this eye cream? What eye cream do you use? Let me know in the comments!
Rraw’s eye cream, moisturizer and lip scrub have been in my to-buy list or the longest time now. So glad the consistency isn’t clogging or heavy on the under eyes. Does it lighten dark circles? That’s my number one concern at the moment :((

It lightened mine by the tiniest bit! My dark circles are due to genetics, so I was actually surprised that it was able to fade them a bit since nothing really lightens genetic dark circles 🙂
