The Best Highlighter I’ve Ever Had

As you all must know, I have a penchant for highlighter. Last January, Anastasia Beverly Hills (one of my most favorite makeup brands) released a new highlighter in collaboration with Instagram beauty sensation Amra Olević, or Amrezy. The moment I saw its golden waves, I knew I had to have it. In this post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter.

“I live for the perfect glow. It’s a constant focus in my makeup routine. I’m always looking for the most luminous glow with a natural, second skin finish. This collaboration with ABH brings my highlighter dreams to life, and I’m so happy to share this ‘sun in a compact’ with my Rezy riders.”—Amrezy

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter is a brilliant light gold illuminating powder with an ultra-smooth formula and radiant finish. Its shade is universal, and it can be used wet or dry to highlight the face, eyes, and body. It’s also formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates.

You guys, I honestly have never been more obsessed with anything in my life. This highlighter is absolute PERFECTION. The formula is very smooth and creamy. Unlike the ABH Glow Kits, it isn’t very glittery, rather, it is quite shimmery, which is what I prefer. I love layering on my highlighter, but sometimes, what can look good from the side can look weird from the front. With other highlighters, I usually see the dark streak of highlighter on my cheekbones when I face forward. This doesn’t happen with the Amrezy Highlighter. It blends into my skin really well, and I can layer all I want! I like it way better than the MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft & Gentle, which is a cult classic and had been my favorite highlighter for years. As you can see in the photo below, the highlighter is both quite natural and yet very striking.

The only downsides to the Amrezy Highlighter is that it is a.) limited edition, and b.) quite pricey. It’s $28 if you live in the US, but since I got mine from a reseller, I paid around Php2000 for it. Honestly, it’s worth it if you love highlighter as much as me, but it still hurt to drop that much money on a single product.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter. It’s like nothing I ever had before and I don’t know what I would do if I used it up and don’t have a way of purchasing a new one. Anastasia always kills it with their highlighter, and I think they’ve reached their peak with this one.
