One step I never miss when I do my makeup is bronzer, and that’s because it can do a lot of things for your face. It can add warmth to your complexion, sculpt your face, and even correct a base that’s too light for you. Seriously, applying bronzer can take your makeup from pale and flat to sun-kissed and dimensional in seconds.

There are a ton of bronzers in the market—and, TBH, a lot of them skew orange, red, or ashy. And it’s also a product that isn’t so popular among casual makeup users, especially in the Philippines, the way lipsticks and blush are. That’s why I’ve rounded up some of my fave bronzers that I think you need to try.
Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Deep
This drugstore bronzer is a fave among beauty gurus, and for good reason! It has a blendable formula that doesn’t skip or get streaky on the face. It also has ultra-refined pearls that make your skin appear smooth—no texture enhancing formula here! It has subtle shimmers running through it, but despite this, I still like using it to lightly contour my face and nose. Most of the time, though, I use this bronzer to add warmth to my face. BTW, this bronzer has the most amazing scent!

NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder
This one is a cult-favorite. This shimmery bronzer can instantly add a sun-kissed glow to your complexion. It leans toward a more warm undertone, so you’ll really feel bronzed up when you wear this. I like adding it towards the tops of my cheekbones to give my face a lifted, radiant look. One thing about this though is that it kind of picks up on texture, so it’s not a bronzer that I like to use on my nose.

Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzer
This has to be my favorite bronzer of all time and, no, I am not exaggerating. I think the one I have in my collection now is probably my fifth or sixth one, and the reason why I repurchase this the moment I run out is because it’s perfect for both bronzing and contouring. It has an easily blendable formula and a matte finish that adds a ton of depth and dimension to the face. I just love how versatile it is and I’m honestly never without it! It also take a while to use up, so while it is on the pricey side, it’s totally worth it.

Colourette Colourtint in Jordyn
This multi-use tint can be applied on the eyes, cheeks, and lips, but I personally love using it as a contour product. It’s super pigmented and dries down matte—and once it sets, it won’t budge! It’s a great pick if you want to explore liquid or cream products and you have oily skin. It’s really affordable, too!

Make-Up Designory Bronzer in Sunshine
I’ve actually never used this bronzer on myself, but I absolutely love applying this on my clients. Other than adding warmth to the face, it really helps correct a too-light base around the forehead. It’s shimmery in the pan, but it doesn’t translate so much on the face. Instead, it looks glowy and radiant. This bronzer stays in my kit at all times because of how easy it is to use and how it suits a ton of different skin tones.

Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt Bronzer in Light Medium
ICYDK, Mario Dedivanovic is a celebrity makeup artist who’s famous for Kim Kardashian’s beat—and I happen to be a big fan of his. When I found out the Makeup By Mario website ships to the Philippines, I knew I had to grab a couple things from his SoftSculpt collection, and this bronzer was one of them. I chose the shade Light Medium because it was made for skin tones like mine and because of its cool undertones (that makes it perfect for contouring). It’s pigmented, easy to blend, and adds a lot of definition to the face. Like the Benefit Hoola Bronzer, it also has a matte finish.

Makeup By Mario SoftSculpt Shaping Stick in Light Medium
This is the other SoftSculpt product I purchased from Makeup By Mario. I haven’t used a cream bronzer in a while, so I thought I would give it a try—and I actually really love it. It blends in with whatever foundation I use really smoothly and it effortlessly sculpts my cheekbones and nose. It doesn’t feel greasy and it doesn’t get oily throughout the day. It has a natural matte finish and, like the bronzer, it has cool undertones that are perfect for adding depth to the face.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Powder Contour Kit in Light to Medium
This palette has everything you need for a super sculpted look. It has three highlighting shades and three bronzing and contouring shades, so you can be really particular about how you define your face. The powders are also finely milled, and one thing I love about this palette is that it’s really user-friendly. The shades aren’t super pigmented, which means you can build up the product without making any mistakes. I honestly love using this on both myself and my clients (yes, I have two palettes LOL), especially for more done-up, glam looks.

And that’s it for this bronzer roundup! Let me know which bronzers you’ve tried (or want to try) and what you think about them in the comment box below!
