TBH, I’m not really a skin tint or tinted moisturizer kind of girl. I love full coverage bases. But Fenty Beauty piqued my curiosity when they came out with their Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint. I’ve never not loved a base by Fenty, but I waited to get this so that I could watch and read reviews about it and gauge its coverage level (and also, my shade had been out of stock for the longest time on Sephora.ph). I’ve finally been able to test it out and I’m ready to share my thoughts!
According to Fenty Beauty’s website, the Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint delivers instantly blurred skin and comes in 25 flexible shades. It’s supposed to have light to medium buildable coverage and adaptable shades to even out your complexion. It’s also supposed to be long-wearing and it contains QuickBlur complex to help hydrate your skin and create a diffused effect. They also claim that it has a humidity-, sweat-, and transfer-resistant formula. It comes in a geometric squeeze bottle with a nozzle applicator.
My Thoughts
I actually really enjoy the packaging of this skin tint. I imagine would be perfect for traveling and, if you’re clumsy, you don’t have to worry about breaking it. I have the shade 9, which is supposed to be a good match for the shade 240 of their Pro Filt’r Foundations. It’s a bit darker than 240, but since it’s more lightweight, it blends in perfectly with my skin. I probably could have also pulled off shade 8.
As for its coverage, I would say it’s actually a solid medium. The texture is smooth and lightweight, and I really do notice a blurring effect on my pores. It layers beautifully, too. I have some veins around my cheeks and I needed a bit more coverage to hide them. I was able to build the tint up without it looking cakey or thick. It also didn’t cling to the dry patches around my nose and it didn’t highlight any texture.
It has a pretty dewy finish (which I enjoy), but I would recommend setting it if you have oily skin. I noticed my nose getting a bit shiny at the four-hour mark, but it wasn’t anything too crazy and I enjoy how this wears throughout the day. It doesn’t make me feel greasy or oily whatsoever! At the end of the day, most of the makeup is still in-tact and I noticed only some fading around my nostrils and mouth (i.e. the parts of my face that I touch the most, LOL).
As for its transfer-proof claims, I just don’t think that’s the case. I noticed a small amount of transfer when I patted my skin down with a tissue, so it probably won’t last against the friction you get when you wear a mask. I will say that it’s been pretty humid lately, but the makeup doesn’t melt off even when I sweat. It also plays nicely with other products—even cream and liquid products. Some foundations move when I apply a cream blush, but thankfully, this skin tint doesn’t.
Overall, I really enjoy using this skin tint (even if I’m a full coverage girl at heart!). I love its finish and the subtle blurring effect that it has on large pores. While it isn’t completely transfer-proof, all of the positives outweigh that one con for me. Like I said in the intro, Fenty’s base products have never disappointed me, and this one isn’t an exception! I recommend it to those who want a lightweight base but still want a decent amount of coverage.
