I don’t think I had ever been more curious about a product than I was with the Issy & Co. Active Skin Tint. I mentioned in my Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint review that I’m not a tint kind of girl, but I always see this one on my feed and a lot of influencers that I trust use it, so I decided to try it out for myself. I got it during the brand’s 10.10 sale along with the Active Concealer, so I’ll be reviewing them both in this post.
The Issy & Co. Active Skin Tint is a tinted moisturizer made to match an active lifestyle. It has an oil-free formula that’s infused with squalene, glycerin, and niacinamide—blending skincare and makeup. It gives a sheer hint of color to help you look glowing and it also has broad spectrum UVB/UVA SPF 35 sunscreen to help protect you from the sun’s harmful rays. It comes in 9 shades and I have the shade Sand FO2 (light with warm olive undertones).
Meanwhile, the Issy & Co. Active Concealer is a hydrating, oil-free concealer that’s supposed to provide medium to full coverage to the skin. It was designed to work both as an under-eye brightener and targeted concealer and it promises all-day coverage. It has an eye cream-inspired formula which has humectants and antioxidants to help soothe and calm irritated skin. Like the Active Skin Tint, it also comes in 9 shades and I have the shade FN2 (light medium with neutral undertones).
I had a bit of a hard time finding my shades, and I actually bought two of each product so I could see which would match me best. I got both the shades Sand and Fawn, and the latter is supposed to suit light-medium skin tones, yet it was a lot lighter than Sand. I wasn’t super worried about it though, since skin tints don’t usually have a lot of coverage and I knew whatever I get would blend into my skin. It worked out in the end since the extra skin tint and concealer I got match my sister, so I gave them to her.

As for what I think about the products themselves, I actually really enjoy using them. Just like it claimed, the Active Skin Tint has sheer coverage, but I didn’t mind it so much since I don’t have any blemishes I need to cover up and it neutralizes redness really well. It has a pretty dewy finish, but it’s dewy in the same way moisturizer looks dewy. It’s a bit wet and I always set it with powder. It has a very interesting texture; it looks thick when you squeeze it out, but it has a gel consistency that blends into the skin really well. It really does feel like skincare and it’s the only base product that I apply using my hands. Despite its high SPF, it doesn’t flashback or leave a white cast behind.
The Active Concealer also delivers on its claims. It comes with a small doe-foot applicator which is great for when you really want to get into certain areas. It’s able to hide and brighten my dark circles really well, and it can even conceal pigmentation around my mouth. It blends really easily and it feels comfortable on the face. Even after I apply both these products, my skin still looks like skin.
These two products look amazing in a full makeup look. They play well with both powder and cream makeup, and I consider them to be reliable base products when my skin is playing nice (aka no breakouts). They doesn’t make my skin look or feel extra oily and they’re great if you enjoy no makeup-makeup looks.

Overall, the Issy & Co. Active Skin Tint and Active Concealer are Chab-approved. If you like sheer coverage, skincare-like bases, then you’ll absolutely love the tint. The concealer is also very dependable. I’d say if you have a concealer you already enjoy using, you probably don’t need to get this. But if you’re in the market for a new one that won’t make your skin feel tight or look cakey, then definitely check the Issy & Co. one out.
