Local Lippies: A Review of Colourette Coloursticks in Sahara and Chelsea

I’m always on the lookout for a good nude lippie, and lately I’ve been loving colors with more beige and orange tones instead of the usual pink shades that I tend to go for. I had been hearing a lot about Colourette, a local brand that makes use of all-natural ingredients, and I decided to try out a couple of their lipsticks. The shades Sahara and Chelsea really called out to me, so in this post, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on the Coloursticks.

The Makeup Basics

If you’re still starting your relationship with makeup, then you would know that picking and choosing what you need can get a bit overwhelming. I get a lot of questions about what one absolutely NEEDS in their makeup kit, so for this post, I’ve listed some basic products that I think everyone should have in their makeup kit.

Bye Dark Spots: A Review of It’s Skin Power 10 Formula LI Effector

While I’m all for a no-fuss, capsule skincare routine, I’ve been wanting to add a serum to my regimen for a while now. You may have seen in my Althea haul that I got myself the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula LI Effector to try out. I’ve been using the serum ever since I got it, and in this post, I’ll be sharing what I think about it.

My Everyday Makeup Routine

Doing my everyday makeup look is pretty much all muscle memory for me now. If I tried, I’m sure I could do it with my eyes closed (okay, maybe not, but you know what I mean!). For this post, I thought I would share the makeup that I use to create my everyday face. It’s a pretty simple routine that leaves me looking fresh, clean, and glowy (I use a lot of highlighter).

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation Vs. Laura Mercier Mineral Powder

In case you haven’t noticed, this is the first post in which I talk about the true light of my life and my whole world: makeup! Lately, I’ve been a bit lazy with my makeup routine, so I’ve been using mineral makeup A LOT. Mineral makeup feels light, breathable, and natural on the skin, and it’s pretty much foundation and powder in one. I like to use the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation and the Laura Mercier Mineral Powder, so I thought that for this post, I would compare the two and share my thoughts on them.

How Moisturizing My Face With Oil Changed My Skin

Last December, I traveled to the States with my family. It was winter, and my skin is not a big fan of the cold (and frankly, neither am I). I knew my skin was going to need some extra nourishment, so I took my Josie Maran Argan Oil with me to use as a daily moisturizer. It really helped keep my face hydrated, and when I went back to the Philippines, I continued to use it, despite the humidity and the fact that I have an oily t-zone. I realized I started to like using oils on my face more than a regular lotion-type moisturizer, and here’s why:

Althea Haul

Unless you live under a rock, then you know how popular kBeauty is in the world today. From fun face masks to 10-step skincare routines, Korean makeup and skincare have definitely been making waves. I’m not too big on kBeauty, but lately I’ve been really curious about some Korean skincare products. Luckily, Korean products are easily accessible in the Philippines, and we also have Althea! Althea is an online kBeauty shop that ships products from Korea to the Philippines.  In this post, I’ll be sharing my small haul from Althea.

On Menstrual Cups

Today’s post is a little on the TMI side, but I think it’s something that should be talked about more. Ladies, I know you all know how hard it can be to be on your period. Not only do we experience cramps, mood swings, bloating, and other different physical and emotional symptoms, we also have the added hassle of bleeding everywhere. Luckily, we have a lot of different options on how to take care of this bleeding, from pads to tampons and even to period panties. For this post, I’ll be talking about one option we have whenever it’s that time of the month: the menstrual cup.

My Daily Skincare Routine

Now, I love skincare as much as the next beauty junkee, and I’ve tried and tested loads of products before. Because of this, it might come as a shock to you that my daily skincare routine only consists of 3-4 products. My routine is completely streamlined, and honestly, my skin has never looked better. I was able to reduce the number of products I use on my face by clearly telling myself what my skin needs: hydration and acne prevention.
